Our mission

Sovereign Media is committed to amplifying voices from frontline struggles against imperialism worldwide. We publish reporting, analysis, and commentary that centres the perspectives of nations and peoples fighting for national liberation and self-determination against colonial and neocolonial domination.

What we are looking for

We welcome submissions that:

• Report from the frontlines of struggle: Firsthand accounts, interviews, and on-the-scene reporting from popular movements, labor struggles, anti-imperialist organising, and resistance to Western intervention
  
  
• Provide materialist analysis: Articles grounded in political economy that examine the structural forces driving conflict, inequality, and imperial domination
  
  
• Challenge dominant narratives: Pieces that critically interrogate Western media framing and expose propaganda surrounding global conflicts
  
  
• Center Global South perspectives: Work that prioritises voices of the oppressed, who are systematically excluded from or misrepresented in mainstream anglophone media
  
  
• Document solidarity in action: Coverage of internationalist organising, South-South cooperation, and transnational movement building
  

Submission Requirements

Length: Standard articles should be approximately 1,000 words. Longer analytical pieces (up to 2,500 words) and shorter dispatches (500-700 words) will be considered based on subject matter and depth of treatment.

Format: Submit your work as a .doc, .docx, or .txt file. Include your name, contact information, brief bio (50 words), and any relevant organizational affiliations.

Citations: Include hyperlinks to source material where applicable, including for academic references. 

Please note that we will automatically reject submissions that:

• Are generated by artificial intelligence or contain plagiarised content (we scan all submissions using AI and plagiarism detection tools)
• Advance imperialist regime change narratives against any government
• Rely primarily on Western state-affiliated sources (NED-funded organizations, the NGO-industrial complex, imperialist mainstream media, etc.)

Please expect to receive a response within 48 hours. Due to submission volume, we can only provide detailed feedback on pieces we’re seriously considering for publication.
